Perfect dish for fall! I have only ever made shepherds pie once I believe, although over here we have many variations when it comes to an ovendish with meat and vegetables, so you could also call those a variation of shepherd’s pie I guess!

Sounds gorgeous! It’s not political correctness to call it cottage pie though – it’s because shepherds don’t raise beef. Shepherd’s pie is lamb and mutton, cottage pie is beef. Perfect showcase for your mash.

Growing up in Canada, Shepherd’s Pie was/is common fare. I like a few splashes of Worcestershire with the kima. A family fave.
