I think Greeks see fresh mushrooms as expensive, although their superior taste should be an important factor for choosing them.
We are natural mycophobics in Greece, that is why we don’t collect wild mushrooms, although they are plentiful. This is changing though as I read in n article recently. I would really like to learn how to pick mushrooms. I LOVE THEM!
